SMS Kreyol, a musical ensemble composed of five young Haitians, was born during the PAPJAZZ 2013. After studying jazz music with professor Claude Carré, these five musicians decided to gather their talents during a workshop in Fokal by creating their own style, mixed with konpa music, smooth jazz, r’nb but especially traditional Haitian music that they intend to promote through their work. SMS Kreyol composed of Ricardo Lafond on alto saxophone and tenor, Marck Harold Pierre on percussions and voice, Cineus Nathanael on keyboard, Edlin Olivier on drums and Steve Cineus, bass and voice.
