An original Organ sound at the PAPJAZZ

Frank Salis is a self-taught pianist, who started performing at very young age. In 1992, he starts his first professional musical adventure as a trio. At the age of 25, Salis moved to Lausanne, where he studied at the Ecole de Jazz et de Musique Actuelle. In 2004, right after gaining his diploma in composition and arrangement, the specialized Organ player, got involved in a range of projects, including Ray Tribute, DeafJellyFishMovie, Frank Salis H3O and Acoustic Blues Session with Icao. Inspired by John Scofield and Jimmy Smith, Salis composed an original repertoire with sounds mixing blues and jazz. Salis has played with many internationally renowned musicians, including Bobby Watson, Alvin “Little Pink” Anderson, Willie Murphy, Tommy Castro, Terry Evans and Eric St. Michaels.

The PAPJAZZ is proud to feature Mister Salis’s trio for the first time on the Barbancourt stage.
