Célia Kameni & Alfio Origlio (France/Cameroun)

Célia Kameni & Alfio Origlio, an emotional quartet.

Célia Kameni is a French singer of Cameroonian origin who was immersed in an eclectic musical universe since her childhood.  Mixing classical music and jazz that she studied at the Conservatory of Lyon, but also soul, African and Caribbean music, which were passed on to her by her father, who himself is a musician and music lover.  Alfio Origlio, recognized by his peers as one of the best jazz pianists in the French scene, who is above all guided by passion in every project he undertakes. Their quartet formula invites the spectator on a journey through the warm and sensual voice of Kameni, and offers us a recomposition of pop and soul, with songs by Grégory Porter, Stevie Wonder, U2, Seal, not to mention a moving metamorphosis of Blues by Jeanne Morreau. The arrangements are signed by Origlio. Brice Berrerd (double bass) and Zaza Desiderio (drums) bring their own touches to these interpretations and showcase a remarkable sense of listening. Singer Célia Kameni takes us into her universe and gives us both something to look at as well as to listen to.
