AFTER-HOUR – Hans Berry (Haiti)

Hans Berry:  A talent worth watching out for

Originally from Léôgane, Hans Berry first developed his voice in a church choir just like many singers of his generation. Passionate and hard-working he watched videos of workshops and master-classes given by Cécile McLorin Salvan and Kurt Eiling on YouTube. With a rich baritone voice, Berry first got noticed in March 2019 during an homage to Nat King Cole, where he covered Cole’s hits alongside Josué Alexis, Jude Davens Texier and Mardochée William. Following his performance, He received praise from the famous Haitian music critic, Roland Léonard in Le Nouvelliste.

Remaining true to our mission to highlight up-and-coming artists, the PAPJAZZ team is inviting you to discover Hans Berry at a PAPJAZZ After-hour.
