AFTER-HOUR – Richecard Ciné (Haiti)

A young jazz enthusiast from Jacmel, Richecard Ciné enrolls very early on at the École Dessaix Baptiste, where he learns how to play the bass. Member of many orchestras between 2008 and 2012; he then leaves to the Dominican Republic to pursue his studies. He collaborated with the Dominican Jazz Festival, which has led him to undertake trainings in jazz technique with musicians such as Mario Canonge and David Sanchez. He then familiarizes with Bachata and Latin rhythms. In 2016 he created the Jacmel Jazz Festival, which received support from the Haiti Jazz Foundation, then moves back to Haiti and created the Richecard Ciné Quartet.
