Author, singer and composer Beethova Obas is a legend of modern Haitian music. He is considered one of the most talented and inspiring musician of his generation. Very early on into his career, Beethova Obas is elected best young singer at the RFI Découverte competition. Manu Dibango, who was the president of the competition at that time claimed to be very impressed by this new voice. With his tamed voice accompanied by harmonies inspired by the Bossa Nova, Beethova Obas keeps a very authentic sound. He has collaborated with Caribbean names such as Malavoi, Mario Canonge, Emeline Michel, James Germain, Thierry Fanfan and Etienne M’Bappé, from Cameroun just to name a few. He has performed on many international stages in the French Caribbean, North America and Europe. In 2006, Beethovas Obas who already has 7 albums under his belt, is named ambassador of peace by the Organization of American States (OAS).
