AFTER-HOURS – Emmanuel Valcin (Haiti)

Multi talented composer and guitarist, Valcin Emmanuel goes easily from flamenco to smooth jazz, Bossa nova or Kompa. but the smooth sound of his acoustic guitar is what makes him so special. He begun his career in 2004 by playing  in small restaurants of Port-au-Prince such as Quartier Latin, where he’s been playing for the past 10 years. In 2006 he created his own band Les Albertos  and composed an album called ” Hymne à la vie”. Valcin Emmanuel is also a music instructor at a few classical schools of the capital such as école Sainte Trinité, Catts Pressoir and at the Brazilian cultural center.

Today, Valcin Emmanuel is a respected artist, who we will have the pleasure to welcome at one of the PAPJAZZ’s after hours.
