Friend’s Band is a trio founded in 2020 in Cap-Haitian by young talents from the North. Chrisnel Italien started learning piano at the age of 14,and took music theory lessons with Maestro Donald T. Victorin. He draws his inspiration from Gospel, jazz, and RNB pianists like Cory Henry, Chick Corea, Robert Glasper etc. He participated in PAPJAZZ 2021 as part of the Quartet of flutist Nannley Duverly. Georges Shilander started playing bass guitar at the age of 13 under the direction of Junior Léandre and Samson Gabriel. Wendelson Pierre-Louis, a drummer and music lover, started learning the instrument at the age of 17 under the direction of drummers like Brunel Dorsainvil, Daniel Fils-Aime and Jean-Philippe Belliard. He studied music at the Henry Christophe campus, and currently teaches percussion at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Education at the Henry Christophe campus in Limonade (UEH).
