GWOLOBO is a musical movement created with the aim of fusing Haitian culture with electronic music, mixing traditional instruments with DJ turntables. GWOLOBO’s artists come from different backgrounds, but all share a deep love for their culture and music, rooted in their Haitian roots, which they seek to preserve.
On stage, Paul Beaubrun and Kabysh, both singers (raratek, blues, reggae, traditional music), DJs ManitoNation and Kolo (raratek, afrotek, deephouse, pop, konpa, afrobeat) and Ti Tanbou, drummer. Since its creation in April 2021, Gwolobo has toured in Haiti (Port-au-Prince, Cap-Haïtien, Gonaïves) and the Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo, Santiago).
They invite Fabrice Rouzier on keyboards and Joel Widmaier on percussion for a special touch.
