Singer, pianist and composer, Leila Pinheiro is part of the Brazilian music scene since 1980. This Pará singer is a Bosa Nova icon, who received many prices along her career: Best New Artist at the Festival des Festival in France, Best Singer Award at the Yamaha festival and a Villa-Lobos trophy for Best New Female Artist. With many performances abroad, she toured the United States with Ivan Lins and played in many world-wide renown concert halls such as Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center of New-York City. Recently she released a duo album called “Ceu e Mar’‘ that she produced with the famous Brazilian guitar player Nelson Faria who already has 12 albums under his belt, 8 musical didactic books and along his career has contributed in over 200 albums as a musician and arranger like, João Bosco, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Ivan Lins, Till Broenner, Milton Nascimento, Toninho Horta, Leila Pinheiro just to name a few.
