Melissa Dauphin feat. John Michalak, Gérald Kébreau, Joël & Mushy Widmaier (Canada/Haiti)

Haitian Canadian Melissa Dauphin acquired a taste for music from her parents. Her family plays an active role in supporting her career. After studying Architecture, Melissa was awarded a scholarship from Berklee College of Music.  Melissa was the lead singer of the Haitian band Strings and has collaborated with Reginald Policard, Eric Virgal, and Jorge Martinez. She is passionate about Jazz and Latin music; her musical influences are various : Sade, Ella Fitzgerald, Tracy Chapman, Alejandro Fernandez and Mercedes Sosa, Rosa Passos… She launched her solo career a few years back was invited to sing at the PAPJAZZ in 2018. Melissa is now exploring different genres and different languages such as French, Kreyol, English, Spanish, Portuguese, singing Jazz, Bossa Nova, Haitian Folk, Latin, Pop… Her first album, “Fantasme”, was released in December 2019.

Melissa Dauphin will proudly representant Canada for this 16th edition of the PAPJAZZ!
