Maxime Lafaille, born in 1995 in Carrefour, is a Haitian trumpeter who began his career in March 2010 under the direction of Maestro Ricot Augustin. From the outset, he has collaborated with renowned musical groups such as Skandal and Sakaj. In 2014, on International Jazz Day, he took his first steps in the jazz scene alongside Alfo-Jazz. His notable participation in PAPJAZZ from 2015 to 2018 consolidated his reputation. In November 2021, he joined the musical ensemble EKIP and in January 2023, as part of the “RASIN MWEN” project, he represented Haiti at the Jazz Plaza festival in Havana on three successive stages. Despite his young age, he has shared the stage with such eminent artists as Mushy, Joël Widmaier, Jean Caze, Réginald Policard, Boulo Valcourt, James Germain, Erold Josue, and Ralph Thamar, demonstrating his talent and musical versatility.
