The most valued Haitian pianist in the jazz scene

Versatile Haitian pianist, Reginald Policard evolved through different styles of music such as konpa, jazz, latin jazz and even fusion to create a style of his own.  Reginald Policard is the founder of the famous Caribbean Sextet band. He starts his solo career in 1993 with ”Vin Avem” a konpa jazz style album. Throughout the years, Policard has shifted more toward Jazz, a style that would later be identified as ”smooth kreol jazz”. Reginald Policard is also an author and composer with a great sensitivity who draws a lot of inspiration from Brazilian music; Antonio Carlos Jobim, Chick Corea and even Bill Evans all influenced his music. In 2017 Reginald Policard released his latest album ”Mirage”.
