Strings, the success of a whole generation
Created over 20 years ago by Jacky Ambroise and Phillipe Augustin, Strings is a combination of flamenco and Haitian troubadour styles. The band reached its peak of popularity in the 90s for their song Metamorphosis. Ever since they’ve performed on many international stages. Strings is the only band that offers this unique flavor, which is what makes it so successful. Many of its albums have marked an entire generation, such as Tropical Mood, Flamenco Tropical, Island Folies, Coconut Groove or even Panama’m Tonbe. In 2016, Strings released its latest album ” An Kreyol”.
The PAPJAZZ is honored to feature Strings once again on its stage for a flamenco tropical evening.
