AFTER-HOURS – Veeby (Cameroon)

Veeby, the newcomer of the AfroSoul Montreal scene

Vanessa Kanga aka Veeby is from Cameroon. Singer, author and composer, her AfroSoul style reflects the artists who rocked her childhood like James Brown, Aretha Franklin or Manu Dibango. In 2012, she released her first album “Journey” which mixes soul, gospel and R&B. Noted for her powerful and intimate voice by the local world scene, the artistic direction of the festival Nuits d’Afrique presents her as the newcomer of the Montreal scene and the program on the Sphere stage of the 2017 edition of the festival. Today Veeby collaborates with Haitian artists such as Rutshelle Guillaume.

The PAPJAZZ invites you to discover Veeby during the After Hours at La Reserve.
