DERvISH (Belgium)

DERvISH is a band from the Belgian underground scene whose rhythmic base is provided by Belgian-Haitian drummer Pat Dorcéan and embelished by the sounds of Toine Thys’ saxophone, that is modified by filters and electronic modulations. They are joined by Dries Laheye, bassist and pillar of progressive music, a must in ‘‘STUFF!’’ and keyboardist David Thomaere. Between Flying Lotus, Dorian Concept and Boards of Canada, DERvISH grooves and grooves again. This ensemble offers music with electro sounds reinforced by an explosive groove. After their first EP ‘Abstracks’ under the name “DERvISH” in 2015, they will release this year “Guru Farm” with 8 new tracks that they will introduce everywhere in Europe and in Haiti.
